Unlike a regular
round parachute, a paraglider is a simple wing in every sense and is
designed using the same aerodynamic principles as a conventional
aircraft. The ability to climb to substantial heights and travel
great distances depends upon the individual pilot's skill in using
upward flowing air streams in exactly the same way as a soaring
eagle, or albatross would do. Perhaps you have seen a bird
such as this just floating for what seems like an eternity up in the
sky? Well, basically, a paraglider can do the same thing given the
right wind conditions.
Learning to fly
is quite enjoyable given you make sure that you learn with a
professional instructor. Trying to learn to fly a paraglider on your
own is not something you should try to do. In just a few short
days, you will go from controlling the canopy, to actually flying up
in the sky! It is really quite an exhilarating experience and
one we recommend to everyone! |
